As FUSE, we have been gathering together for six years, building relationships and trust across the sometimes invisible but often quite visible lines of our neighborhoods here in southern Delaware County. We are grateful for the careful and intentional work that has been done. And yet, much work is still needed. COVID-19 devastations unevenly weighted upon black and brown communities, the uprisings that do not allow us to ignore the steady grip of white supremacy, and conversations within our own communities are a clarion call to the Steering Committee that it is time for FUSE to respond in new ways.
